Pastor

Reverend Lori Stevens
I was ordained June 21st, 2008 Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). I have been serving Richter UMC since July 1st, 2013 part-time. I am excited for the opportunity to serve Trinity UMC and Richter UMC. I have lived in Ottawa since I was 5 years old. I graduated from Ottawa High school in the 1980’s. I graduated from Johnson County Community College with an A.S. in Dental Hygiene; I was a dental hygienist for over 25 years. I am a graduate of Ottawa University, Kansas City campus, with a BA in health care Management and Administration. I am a 2008 graduate of Central Baptist Theological Seminary. I will soon be a student in seminary to complete the conversion from ordained from another denomination approved by the Great Plains Board of ordained ministry to prayerfully being an elder in the UMC. I have an older brother here in Ottawa and a sister that lives outside of Birmingham, Alabama, 13 nieces and nephews, and 2 great nieces and one great nephew. My mother was an educator in Ottawa for many years and my father has been a John Deere tractor mechanic for over 60 years. I am always excited of what God can do with cracked pots, because I am far from a pristine vessel, but have hope because of Christ dying on the cross for us. None of us are perfect here on earth but because of Christ Love for us and the grace that God offers that passes all understanding we become perfect when we join God in heaven.
